The 3M™ Tack Pad has been developed especially for the automotive aftermarket to remove dirt, lint, dust and sanding particles prior to spraying primers, base coat or clear coat paints. Based on 3M’s non-woven technology, the pad’s tacky surface picks up dust and the three-dimensional web inside absorbs dust particles. Use it on metal, plastic, fiberglass or wood.

To achieve a perfect paint job all loose dirt and dust particles must be removed without leaving surface marks. 3M™ Tack Pad absorbs dust into the pad as it glides across the surface without leaving any surface marks behind, reducing rework. The conformable pad reaches dust on all surfaces of the workpiece, whether flat, contoured or grooved. It is designed to work with all modern paint systems, including water-based paints, and can even help remove light nibs.
